Took a little drive to Monticello and saw this beautiful temple.

Because it's one of the "mini" temples, we weren't sure if the grounds would be open.

And on our way back we saw the other side of the rock. This was someone's house. Yes, he carved his home out of this rock. And the left side with the yellow sign was a restaurant he and his wife ran. It's a 5,000 sq ft home and to get that large of a home, in 12 years he excavated 50,000 cubic feet of sandstone! His name is Albert Christensen and he loved President Roosevelt; hence the carving on the side of his house. Albert, amongst being a miner, a restaurateur, and an FDR lover, was also a painter. He painted a portrait of Christ which I've seen many times, and he was also known for his 'Sermon on the Mount' painting. I'm not sure which one that is. Here's a link to the Hole N" The Rock website.

They have some interesting decor around their grounds. This outhouse was our favorite. See who's on top?
And, last but not least, here's a video of Jaxen while on our drive up & down Hwy 191.
