The Great Outdoors

The colors were gorgeous. No editing done to these!

The happy boy. Camo and all; before our unpleasant night sleep.
(We were expecting a decent night because of how well the Father & Son camp out went.)

The ornery boy. After, our unpleasant night sleep.

Mistake #1- Leave special blanket at home.
That was pretty much the deal breaker!

We zipped the bags together like a queen bed. But, alas, nothing could keep this squirmy wormy still. So, we took off his clothes and each time he didn't listen; we tossed him out of the bag. And the outer shell of the sleeping bag was FREEZING cold. Jaron and I laughed a lot as Jaxen tried his hardest to get back in. We first made him say he would calm down and listen. "No, Daddy, No." Over and over and over again.

It was our ward camp out we had attended. Somehow we missed the memo that your were to supply your own: plates, utensils, cups, napkins, drinks, everything! We had saved our dinner dishes that we'd begged from someone else, and used them for breakfast. We didn't have much to drink, though. And neither did Jaxen.

Trying to make the best of it, we went for a hike.

Our state is so picturesque. Mountains, desert, mountains. Awesome view of some of Juab County.

Our beautiful camping faces!

  1. Oh the joys of sleeping somewhere new. This experience is the exact reason we NEVER camp. Not worth it! Ha ha!! Glad you survived though!! :)
